Second man charged with murder after Lakeside Shopping Centre killing

A second man has been charged with the murder of a father-of-three at a shopping centre in Essex.
Michael Ugwa, 29, from Rainham, east London, died at Lakeside shopping centre in Thurrock after he was assaulted in the food court shortly before 4.30pm on April 28.
Muhammad Khan, 22, of Ilford, east London, has been charged with murder and affray and is due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court on Friday, Essex Police said.
It comes after another man, Brandon Lutchmunsing, faced Basildon Crown Court on Friday also charged with murder and affray.
The 19-year-old, of Dagenham, east London, was not asked to enter pleas to the charges and was remanded in custody until a plea hearing on July 1.
Also before the court was 20-year-old Shannon Weston, of Canewdon, Essex, who is charged with assisting an offender.
She was not asked to enter a plea and was remanded in custody until a plea hearing on July 1.
Both defendants face a trial from April 11 2023 with a time estimate of six weeks.
Khan was arrested on Wednesday in Chiswick, west London, along with a 54-year-old woman.
The woman, from Croydon, south London, was questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender and later released under investigation, police said.
