Search for driver after crash in Colchester

They drove off after a collision on Saturday

After a crash in which one driver left the scene in Colchester, police are searching for dashcam footage.

Essex Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision on Colne Bank Roundabout at the junction of the A133 and A134.

It happened at around 4.20pm on Saturday, 27 February.

A blue Ford Focus and a blue Ford Fiesta were in collision. Both vehicles were damaged.

The driver of the Focus initially stopped at the scene but drove off prior to our arrival.

The Focus drove along Cowdray Avenue, where the occupants abandoned the vehicle in the road just prior to the roadworks.

The Focus has been seized.

The Roads Policing Unit is investigating and they would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the collision, or the Focus being left in Cowdray Avenue.

Witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage is asked to contact the force on 101 quoting incident 1007 of 27 February.
