Person requires hospital treatment after robbery involving knife in Clacton

A person has required hospital treatment after a robbery involving a knife in Clacton.

Two men were reportedly walking along Forest Park Avenue at around 9pm on Saturday (1 May) when the younger of the two men was approached from behind.

An unknown man, armed with a knife, grabbed him and demanded his wallet.

His companion went to his aid and a struggle ensued.

The victim, 20s, required hospital treatment for a hand injury.

The suspect fled the scene empty-handed.

He is described as a white man, 6ft tall with short blond hair and wearing dark clothes.

Essex Police is appealing to anyone in the area at the time who may have seen the incident, or can help to identify the man, to call 101 quoting crime reference 42/81541/21.
