The club have said there's 'no place for racism in football'

Colchester United have reported that racist language was used against a U's player at yesterday's game against Accrington Stanley.

It was heard in the closing stages of the match, which led to a pause while it was reported to officials.

Colchester United say they will work with Accrington Stanley as an investigation gets underway.

They said in a post on x 'discrimination will not be tolerated in football'.

The club also posted a picture of Samson Tovide, with fans rallying around the player in the comments, and condemning racism.
