£3k of Class A drugs found in Colchester

A man was fined for breaching Covid restrictions after officers seized an e-scooter

A man has been arrested in Colchester, after allegedly trying to set up a new County Lines drug scheme.

Police seized an E-scooter, which are illegal in public, and say they then found £3,000 worth of Class A drugs.

The suspect has been fined for the scooter use and breaking Covid restrictions:

  • 6pts + £300 fine due to E scooters being illegal to use in Public
  • £150 release fee
  • Community Protection Warning issued to stay out of Essex
  • £200 Covid ticket as not an essential trip

He was then released under investigation for possession with intent to supply.
