Police presence near school after sightings of man behaving 'erratically'

Essex Police say they're aware of reports and sightings of a man behaving erratically in the vicinity of School Road, near Market Field School in Elmstead Market.

Reports have been made to police in the area throughout today (Monday 8 December).

Officers say the school took appropriate security measures, and police have been carrying out enquiries to locate anyone matching the description given, maintaining a visible presence at the school and offering reassurance.

In a statement, Essex Police said: "There has been no threats or harm reported against school staff or pupils, but steps have rightly been taken as a precaution.

"If anyone has any concerns, please speak to officers.
