Police are appealing for more information or dashcam footage after a man died in a collision in Hackmans Lane at 2.30pm on Sunday 24th November.

Sadly, a 38-year-old man died at the scene and three people have been taken to hospital, one with serious injuries.

The incident involved a BMW which left the road travelling in Hackmans Lane, travelling from Cock Clarks towards Cold Norton.

The road was closed for several hours while investigative and recovery work was carried out, and it has now fully reopened

Essex police are appealing for a specific driver to come forward who they believe was driving a Mini and was a "key witness" to the incident.

The car they were driving was described a small dark-coloured Mini-type vehicle, and the driver was described by witnesses as an older woman

As well as this important potential witness, Essex police say they want to hear from anyone else who may have seen this collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision.

If this is you, please contact the police as soon as you possibly can.
