Three teenage boys have been arrested
Three teenage boys in Essex have been arrested after reports of a group of people carrying weapons in Pitsea.
Essex Police responded to an incident at about 1.20pm yesterday, Sunday 4 December, after they received a number of reports of a group of people acting suspiciously, some of whom were reported to be carrying weapons.
As officers arrived, the group fled the area, leading to a chase which saw officers follow the group through Pitsea Market, before arresting them close to Pitsea Library.
Two boys aged 17 and one boy aged 15 were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and attempted GBH.
Essex Police also believe a teenage boy sustained an injury earlier in the day.
He is now being safeguarded by officers.
The three arrested have been questioned and released on bail as enquiries progress.
