Pedestrian with life-threatening injuries following serious collision in Colchester

A man in his 80s has life-threatening injuries.

Essex Police are appealing for dashcam footage or witnesses to a serious collision in Colchester.

At about 1.50pm yesterday afternoon, Sunday 19 May, officers were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and two motorbikes in St Botolph’s Street.

Three people were taken to hospital.

The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, has life-threatening injuries.

Both motorcyclists have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Roads policing officers carried out investigations with St Botolph’s Street closed to motorists and pedestrians between Vineyard Street and Queen Street.
