Passenger in hospital with life-threatening injuries after Howe Green crash
Police say the driver of a lorry has been arrested
An appeal for witnesses, information and footage has been launched after a crash near Chelmsford.
Essex Police were called to Howe Green yesterday lunchtime, just before 1:30pm, where a black Nissan Navara and a white HGV lorry with a red trailer had crashed at the junction of Old Southend Road and Southend Road.
Officers say the passenger of the car is in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the lorry has been arrested and police are continuing to investigate.
Police closed the road whilst in the area making enquiries, which was expected to reopen last night.
Anyone with CCTV, dash cam, other footage, or who has information is asked to contact police.
