Olly Murs will headline his biggest homecoming concert at Chelmsford City Racecourse as part of his 15 Years of Hits UK tour.

Raised near Witham, Olly will be playing his largest ever home-county headline show when he heads to the Great Leighs venue on Sunday, July 6.

Joining Olly will be very special guests Blue and Lemar, with fellow Essex boy and close friend Mark Wright opening the night with a DJ set.

Speaking about the announcement Olly said: “So awesome to be back in Essex doing a summer show! I’ve been wanting to do another show in Chelmsford for so long and it’s finally happening!

“I can’t wait to be performing back at home and I look forward to seeing you guys next summer at the racecourse. What a weekend it’s gonna be!”

Olly rose to fame on ITV’s The X Factor in 2009 and has since gained four Number One singles, seven studio albums and six BRIT Award nominations.

This year has seen him attract a new army of fans after a successful stint as special guest on Take That’s This Life tour.

Tickets will go on sale 11 October.
