Essex Police are appealing for any witnesses to a hit-and-run in Basildon which saw a pedestrian suffer leg and arm injuries.

On November 17th at around 11pm, a man, in his 20s, was crossing the road at the zebra crossing in Timberlog Lane, Basildon when he was hit by a car.

The driver of the vehicle, possibly a BMW, did not stop.

Essex Police officer Humza Bokhari, investigating, said: “We have exhausted our enquiries but are hoping that someone may have witnessed the collision or knows who the driver is so that we can speak to them.

“If at all possible, we’d ask anyone who may have dash cam footage of that night to check to see if they have captured anything that could be useful to our investigation.”

The collision occurred near the junction with Gordon Road.
