Motorcyclist suffers 'life threatening' head injury after crash in Little Clacton

A motorcyclist has suffered a "life threatening" head injury after a crash on the A133 in Little Clacton.

It happened at the roundabout at Progress Road and St Oysth at around 6pm on Saturday (14 August).

A motorcycle was in collision with a road sign.

The rider of the motorcycle – a man, aged in his 40s – sustained a head injury.

He was taken by air ambulance to hospital where he remains.

His injury has been described as life threatening.

Essex Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the crash, or the motorcycle shortly before it happened.

Witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage is asked to contact police quoting incident 1055 of 14 August.
