Motorcyclist seriously injured in Basildon crash
A man in his 40s is in hospital with life threatening injuries
A man in his 40s is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash in Basildon this morning.
Police were called to a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle at around 7:45am near the A127 junction with the Mayflower Retail Park.
A road closure was put in place to allow officers to investigate the scene.
Police are now appealing for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident to get in touch.
