More trains will be running across the East of England this morning, with local rail firm Greater Anglia restoring services amid the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.

Timetables had previously been pared back as passenger numbers dropped off over the first half of January.

From today more services will run to London Liverpool Street from Ipswich, Colchester, Chelmsford and Southend Victoria.

Intercity trains between Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester and London Liverpool Street will run every half hour for most of the day and hourly during the evenings.

The Stansted Express service between London and Stansted Airport will continue with two trains ann hour, although three will run during peak times.

Greater Anglia's weekend timetable will remain unchanged.
