Body found in hunt for missing swimmer in Clacton
Police made the discovery in Jaywick this morning
The body of a man discovered in Jaywick this morning is believed to be that of a 21 year old who went missing in the water off Clacton Pier.
Police launched a large scale search and rescue operation after a group of six people got into difficulty in the water shortly before 11am on Tuesday.
Five were safely brought to shore, with a 21 year old man remaining missing until earlier today.
Formal identification is yet to take place.
Essex Police says its talking to 'international partners' in an effort to contact the man's family.
