Two more charged with robbery after break in at Olympic cyclist Mark Cavendish's Essex home

A man has been found guilty of the knifepoint robbery of Olympic cyclist Mark Cavendish.

Two more men have been charged with robbery after a break in at the Essex home of Olympic cyclist Mark Cavendish.

Two 27-year-old men, Oludewa Okorosobo, of Flaxman Road, Camberwell, and Ali Badara Sesay, of Holding Street, Rainham, were summoned to appear in Colchester Magistrates’ Court on 1st March to be charged with robbery.

They are due to next appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 29th March.

Mark Cavendish was in his Ongar home with his wife and children when a number of men broke into the property after 2:30 am on Saturday 27 November.

A Louis Vuitton suitcase and two high-value watches were reported stolen.

The cyclist, who was already suffering with injuries following a major crash whilst racing, was assaulted during the incident.

One man, Romario Henry, 30, of Bell Green, Lewisham, has already been charged with robbery in connection with the incident.

He's next due to appear at Chelmsford Crow Court on Friday 4th March.
