Man suffers serious head injury in Rayleigh assault

A man has suffered serious head injuries after an assault in Rayleigh over the weekend.
Police were called to the scene on Rayleigh High Street by the ambulance service at around 7:45pm on Saturday.
It's believed the man was hurt during a fight, with another man being arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH.
The victim is recovering in hospital and police are now seeking three "key witnesses" to the incident.
Essex Police are urging anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
