Two arrested after man stabbed in Chelmsford

Essex Police have arrested two men on suspicion of affray, after a man in his 20s was stabbed in Chelmsford.

Officers were called to Springfield Road yesterday morning (March 25), just after 4am to reports of an assault.

Within ten minutes police had arrested the two men.

The man in his 20's, suffered a single stab wound and was taken to hospital.

Police closed the road, remaining on the scene to continue their enquiries.

Drivers were asked to avoid the road between Tesco Roundabout and High Street due to the road closure, urging them to seek alternative routes.

Anyone with information, CCTV or footage is asked to get in touch with Essex Police.
