Man stabbed during assault in Maldon
Police are appealing for witnesses and footage
A man in his 30s is in hospital in a non-life-changing condition after being stabbed during an assault in Maldon on Saturday.
Police were called to Wellesley Road at 4:45am on Saturday (August 12) after reports of a serious assault, where the man had been stabbed during an 'altercation'.
The suspect is described as a white man, mid 40s, 6ft 1ins tall, muscular build with shaved hair and a beard. He was wearing all black.
He was in company of a woman, who remained in a white car throughout the incident, before they left Wellesley Road in the car in an unknown direction.
Police are continuing their enquiries but don't believe the incident is of concern to the wider community.
