Man seriously injured in suspected hit and run near Colchester
A man was found with serious injuries in Elmstead early this morning
A man is seriously injured in hospital after a suspected hit and run crash early this morning near Colchester.
Police were called to the B1027 near Keelars Lane in Elmstead at around 5:10am, finding the victim in a life threatening condition.
The road has been closed between School Lane and Elmstead Road.
Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
They're also seeking dashcam footage taken in the area at the time, as they try to trace the vehicle responsible.
