Man seriously injured after stabbing in Southend
Police were called to York Road last night
A man in his 20s has been taken to hopsital with serious injuries after a stabbing in Southend last night.
Officers were called by the ambulance service to York Road at around 10:45pm, finding the victim injured.
Police are still at the scene collecting evidence and they're appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Southend Community Policing Team Sergeant, David Gardiner said:
“We understand that incidents like this are worrying to the local community.
“Our officers are on scene so please do speak to them if you have concerns or information about what happened.
“We are treating this as an isolated incident and do not believe there to be any further risk to the public.
“However, as always, we will have officers on patrol in and around the area to deter criminal activity and help keep people safe.”
