Man knocked unconscious during robbery in Colchester

A man has been knocked unconscious during a robbery in Colchester.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was walking along Greenstead Road, near to the junction of Harwich Road, at around 9.30pm on Wednesday (9 June).

He was struck from behind and knocked unconscious, suffering injuries to his head and face.

His backpack and personal possessions were stolen.

Essex Police is asking anyone who saw anything or has CCTV, dash cam, or door bell footage to contact them.

The force is also asking people living in the area to check their driveways for any discarded items.
