Man in his 70s arrested after stabbing on Basildon bus
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after the incident last night
A man in his 70s has been after a stabbing on a bus in Basildon last night.
It happened on the 3B First Bus at Basildon Bus Station at around 8:10pm.
The victim - a man in his 20s - was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his head.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.
A suspect, in his 70s, is being questioned on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
In particular they want to speak to a man who was wearing a shop uniform who was seen close to the scene.
