Man left with head injury after being hit with a hammer in Colchester

Essex Police are investigating following the assault in Colchester which left the man with a head injury after being struck with a hammer.
The victim was walking in Scarfe Way when he was approached by two men an assaulted at around 8.45pm on the 4th March.
The men, both described as being black, then made off in a silver Vauxhall car, possibly a Corsa.
