Investigation launched into the death of a man found in a Colchester car park

Essex Police say they are investigating after a man's body was found in a car park in Colchester yesterday morning.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was found dead at the scene at St Johns Car Park, after officers were called around 8:30am to reports of concern for the welfare of a man.

Officers say his family have been informed and are being supported by officers.

Their investigation is continuing into the death, which they are treating as unexpected, and are urging people not to speculate.

The force say more information will be shared when they can.
