A 55-year-old man has died after a collision involving a pedestrian and a car in Essex.

Essex Police say they were called to Kelvedon Road in Inworth just after 10pm on Saturday (8th August).

An Essex police spokesperson said: "A man was treated by medics at the scene and taken to hospital in a serious condition.

"Sadly, the 55-year-old died yesterday.

"His family are aware and are being supported at this difficult time.

"Specialist officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are making enquiries and need anyone with information, or relevant footage, to come forward."
