A man's denied trying to kill someone in Chelmsford in February.

On Wednesday 12 February officers responded to reports of a man found seriously injured in the Meadgate Avenue area at around 7.10pm.

Paramedics treated a man with life-threatening suspected stab wounds before he was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance.

His injuries are now not described as life threatening.

Officers arrested a man at the scene and twenty year-old Albie Tricks, of Eglinton Drive, Chelmsford, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place.

Today, Tricks denied the charges, and a trial date has been fixed for November.
