A man has appeared in court charged with murder almost two years after a fatal crash in Tendring.

Local man Kerrin Repman, who was 29, died after being hit by a BMW on Marine Parade in Dovercourt on the afternoon of Wednesday April 15 2020.

Now 42 year old Keith McCarthy, of no fixed address, has been charged with his murder.

He was extradited from Ireland under the terms of a European Arrest Warrant and appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court yesterday.

He's also been charged with GBH with intent after a woman in her 80s suffered life changing injuries in the same crash.

McCarthy will next appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday (February 7).
