Man charged with murder in Pitsea

It's after a man died in hospital from serious head injuries.

Police have charged a man with murder in Pitsea.

A 67 year-old man from Pitsea was left with a heady injury after being assaulted in the Malyon Mews area on Wednesday 15th September.

He was taken to hospital but died a day later.

A post mortem has since concluded he died from a traumatic head injury.

Edward Roberts, who's 47 and from St Mary's Crescent has been charged with murder.

He's also been charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine in relation to a separate investigation.
