Man charged with attempted murder after shooting

A man has been charged in connection with an incident in Shoebury last weekend where a man was shot in the leg.

It happened in a car park on Frobisher Way shortly after 2am last Sunday (14 May).

Essex Police say the man’s injury was not life-threatening.

On Friday (19 May), a 21 year-old man was arrested.

Adam Valli, of Derifall Close, Beckton, has now been charged with attempted murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable only offence, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

He’s due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday 22 May).

Essex Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

In particular they want to speak to any drivers on the A127 who saw a Mercedes being driven erratically between 1.45am and 2.30am on 14 May.
