Man believed to have been stabbed in Colchester arrested

A man who suffered a number of injuries in Colchester, including what is believed to be a stab wound, has been arrested.

It is in connection with an incident in East Hill at around 5am this morning (4 June).

The man, aged in his 30s, was initially taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

He now remains in custody having been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Essex Police believe two other males were involved in the incident and are "actively" looking for them.

They do not believe there is any wider threat to the public.
