Man assaulted and threatened with suspected handgun in Rayleigh
A 29 year old man has been arrested
A man's been arrested after a man was allegedly assaulted and threatened with a handgun in Rayleigh.
Police were called to London Hill shortly before 10:30am. The victim wasn't seriously injured.
A 29 year old man was arrested near the scene a short time later.
Officers recovered a suspected BB gun during a search of a vehicle, which has now been seized.
The suspect is being questioned on suspicion of possession of a firearm, threats to kill, possession of Class A and B drugs and possession of a bladed article.
Officers believe it was an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the community.
