A man has been arrested on suspicion of spiking a woman's drink in Thurrock.
It happened after 8pm on Tuesday at a pub in Fobbing.
Police were called to check on the victim's welfare and found her unconscious. She was later taken to hospital to receive further treatment.
A 54-year-old man from Kent has been questioned on suspicion of administering a noxious substance.
He has been bailed with conditions while Police carry out enquiries to determine how the woman became unwell.
