Man arrested after Southend stabbing
Police were called to Leigh Road on Friday evening
A man's been arrested by Essex Police after a man in his twenties was stabbed on Friday evening (July 21).
Essex Police were called to Leigh Road around 10:30pm and found the man with stab wounds to his side and back. It was during a fight outside the Broker Pub, close to the junction with Chalkwell Park Drive.
He was taken to hospital with not life-threatening injuries.
A 20-year-old was arrested close by and was questioned by officer on suspicion of GBH.
He has now been released on conditional bail.
A statement from Essex Police said: "As our enquiries have continued, we now believe there were a number of people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident."
