Man arrested following stop and search in Colchester

Police utilised their stop and search powers yesterday afternoon after noticing a man acting suspiciously when they were patrolling Colchester High Street.

Following the search a 20 year old male from London was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

Investigations continued throughout the night and the he has now been charged with three offences.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Colchester Magistrates court today.
