Man arrested after reports of dummies being stolen from babies in Harlow
A 23-year-old man is in custody
Essex Police have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of theft from a person, robbery and using threatening behaviour to cause alarm or distress, after a series of dummies were stolen from babies in Harlow.
He remains in police custody.
Officers said four incidents around Harlow had been reported between February 10 and August 7.
On one occasion a child was also assaulted, the force said.
There have been four incidents reported in the Staple Tye Shopping Centre, Woodcroft, Parsloe Road, and Cooks Spinney areas.
Essex Police say their enquiries are ongoing, and they are continuing to appeal for any footage or information to be passed onto them.
