Man arrested in Chelmsford attempted murder investigation
A 29-year-old man is in custody for questioning
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, in connection with an ongoing investigation in Chelmsford.
Essex Police say yesterday they charged a 29-year-old in connection with a serious assault in Charnwood Avenue last Friday evening.
A man in his 20s was found with serious head injuries at around 9pm. He was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition, but with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The force arrested a 29-year-old, who remains in custody for questioning.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and footage.
