Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after assault in Chelmsford
Police were called to Drovers Way last night
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and driving under the influence of drink or drugs, after an incident in Chelmsford.
Last night (December 18), Essex Police were called to Drovers Way at around 9:25pm, where two people had been assaulted and the suspect had left the scene in a car.
The victims were left in the care of paramedics, and officers searched the area for the suspect and his car.
Once located, they arrested him.
Superintendent Philip Stinger said: “This arrest was thanks to the quick work of our traffic officers, dog units and Operational Support Group.
“We would like to thank the public for their patience while we remained at the scene.”
Police are continuing to investigate, and anyone with information is asked to get in touch.
