Man arrested after car collided with Lawnmowers in Southend

Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Essex Police are investigating a serious crash in Southend this morning (19 April).

They were called to Royal Artillery Way at around 7:40am following a collision involving four vehicles, including one car and three ride-on lawnmowers.

Emergency services including air ambulance were in attendance.

Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 24-year-old man from Benfleet has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink/drugs.

The road was closed in both directions.
