Man accused of Colchester murder in 1998 found not guilty
Grant Byrom died from multiple stab wounds on Boxing Day 21 years ago.
Michael Donnelly, now aged 73, was accused of murdering Mr Byrom in Forest Road, Greenstead.
The court heard Donnelly, who fled the country and remained abroad after the incident, admitted being present at the time but denied being responsible for his death.
A jury at Chelmsford Crown Court found the 73-year-old, of Bromley Road, not guilty of murder today on Friday 28th August.
