Police believe they have recovered the body of a murder suspect in Essex.
This follows an investigation into a shooting that happened in Kent on Friday 14 February.
More than 3 weeks ago now, 43-year-old Lisa Smith was killed after she was shot outside a pub in Main Road, in the Knockholt area of Kent.
The suspect is believed to be her husband, Edvard Stockings.
A friend of the suspect told the BBC that just under two hours after the shooting, he received a phone call in which Stockings told him: "I can't live, we've all gone together" and that "armed police will probably shoot me".
It is believe the man suffered a breakdown resulting in the death of his wife.
Police officers tracked down the suspect's car later that night, and found it abandoned on the Queen Elizabeth II bridge.
Enquiries later established that he had fallen into the water below.
At around 3.45pm on Friday 7 March, a body was located near Rainham, Essex.
Formal identification has not yet taken place; however, the man’s family have been informed.
