Two more men charged with murder of Kieran Shephard in Chelmsford
Investigations into the 30-year-old's death remain ongoing
Police investigating the death of Kieran Shephard have charged two more men with with his murder.
The 30-year-old was seriously assaulted in Meadgate Avenue in Chelmsford at around 12:30pm on Tuesday afternoon (October 15th).
Officers were alerted to the scene after he appeared to be severely injured following the altercation.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly afterwards, but Kieran was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
On Saturday (October 19th), Essex Police confirmed that a man had been charged in connection with his murder.
Harrison Carpenter, aged 19 from Chelmsford appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday to answer a charge of murder.
Now, two further men have been charged with his murder and will appear before the Magistrates' Court on Monday (October 21st).
Joseph Dawe, aged 20 from Great Baddow and Zack O’Keeffe, who is aged 19 and from Basildon were both charged with Kieran's murder.
Shephard's family have since released a tribute to him, saying: "Kieran was a kind and loving son, brother, and father, his loss has left a massive hole in the lives of his family and friends.
"Our lives will never be the same without him, he will be forever in our hearts. Our family asks for privacy at this difficult time."
