Investigations continue after a man was knocked unconscious in Colchester robbery

A man in his 20s, was walking along Greenstead Road when he was struck from behind and knocked unconscious, sustaining injuries to his head and face.

His backpack and personal possessions were stolen.

Three men in high-visibility jackets were seen leaving the scene on foot.

It happened near to the junction of Harwich Road, at around 9.30pm on Wednesday 9th June.

Officers believe there were two people walking on the other side of the road at the time and enquiries have determined that a First bus was travelling through the area.

Police are asking any passengers who may have witnessed the incident, anyone who was in the area or anyone with CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage to get in touch.

They're also continuing to ask people living in the area to check their driveways for any discarded items.
