Investigation starts after Clacton serious assault
Officers say a victim suffered a stab wound in an attack on Friday (19th April).
Detectives investigating a serious assault in Clacton are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance in the area of Pier Avenue shortly before 1am on Friday 19 April.
Police attended and found a man had suffered a stab wound.
He continues to receive hospital treatment and is said to be in a stable condition.
A 28-year-old man, from London, remains in custody for questioning on suspicion of affray in connection with our enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, who may hold information or have relevant footage, to contact them.
