Investigation after driver flees from collision scene in Purfleet

An investigation has begun after three cars collided on the A282 near the QE2 Bridge near Purfleet.

Essex Police officers were called at around midday on Friday 18 April.

Detectives say the driver of one of the cars, a silver Mercedes, left the scene before officers arrived.

A Black Mazda CX-5 and a grey Cupra were also involved. One person suffered minor injuries.

All three vehicles were damaged.

Essex Police have asked for anyone with information, dash cam or other footage in relation to this collision, to get in touch
