Horse dies at scene of early hours collision in Essex

Officers say the driver of a van which was also involved was left uninjured this morning (Sunday 21st January).

Police in Essex have confirmed that a horse has died after an early hours collision this morning (Sunday 21st January).

Emergency services went to a stretch of the the A127 heading towards Southend.

A closure was put in place between the A1245 junction and the A132 junction and was in action for several hours.

Officers say the van driver was uninjured after it happened at about 2:45am.
