New homes for rough sleepers in East approved
More than 330 homes were given the green-light by the Minister for Rough Sleeping today.

The homes will be available by the end of March 2021 for people who sleep rough, or at risk of sleeping rough, across the region.
Access to long-term accommodation is aimed to help vulnerable people rebuild their lives.
As well as the East, new homes will be made available in every region of England as part of a larger investment of ÂŁ433 million from the Government to deliver 6,000 new homes for rough sleepers by the end of this parliament.
Minister for Housing and Rough Sleeping, Kelly Tolhurst, said: "The efforts to protect rough sleepers throughout the pandemic have been truly outstanding, and I want to wholeheartedly thank all the charities, councils, housing providers and support groups who have made this possible.
"We want to ensure the progress continues for years to come and the new, safe and supported homes in the region, including in Broadland, South Norfolk and King’s Lynn, are the cornerstone of our work to tackle rough sleeping and provide a solid foundation for those affected to rebuild their lives."
Once rough sleepers have the keys to their new home, they will be supported by specialist staff to access any help they need, in the hope they remain off the streets for good.
