An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway
An investigation into a fire is underway after a house was left uninhabitable when the flames spread from a garden in Tilbury.
Essex Fire and Rescue were called out on Monday afternoon (19 May). Crews from Grays, Orsett and Corringham dealt with the fire.
Station Manager Adam Barber said: "When crews arrived, the fire had started spreading from the garden to the roof of the semi-detached property."
Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire and stopped it spreading to the neighbouring property.
