Views are being sought on the future of Tendring’s two sports centres.

Both users and non-users of Brightlingsea and Harwich Sports Centres are being asked to share their opinions on the Tendring District Council-run (TDC) facilities to shape them going forward.

Alex Porter, TDC Cabinet Member for Leisure and Tourism, said services had to deliver for people.

He said:

“We all know how important fitness and activity is for our health and wellbeing, and these two sports centres are part of that mix."

“However, we need to provide what people actually want, in the right places and at the right times. This exercise will therefore help us to shape services going forward and decisions on future investment.

“We want to listen to those who use the site, and find out from those who do not why that is the case, so their views can inform further planning.”

The listening exercise runs until 24 October. To have your say online or fill out a form at one of the sports centres.
